Emptoris Announces Certification of SAP NetWeaver® XI-based Integration Package for Procurement Solutions
Turnkey Integration Helps Ensure Business Operations Align with Sourcing and Contract Strategy
Burlington MA (June 13, 2006) – Emptoris, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise supply and contract management software, today announced its integration package for Emptoris 6 and the SAP® R/3® solution Release 4.6C has been certified to deliver seamless business process flow integration. With this turnkey solution based on the SAP NetWeaver® Exchange Infrastructure (SAP NetWeaver XI) component of the SAP NetWeaver platform, companies can drive sourcing and contract decisions directly into the ERP procure-to-pay process, helping ensure day-to-day operations meet the requirements of strategic agreements. SAP NetWeaver XI provides open integration technologies that support process-centric collaboration among SAP and non-SAP applications, both within and beyond enterprise boundaries.
Leveraging Emptoris’ existing “Powered by SAP NetWeaver” qualification of Emptoris 6, which is offered on the SAP NetWeaver Application Server (SAP NetWeaver AS) with integration to the SAP NetWeaver Portal, customers can quickly and easily deploy Emptoris in their SAP NetWeaver-based environment.
Emptoris 6 delivers value to companies in the following ways:
- Improved Business Strategy Execution – Seamless business process flow integration enables customers to drive key sourcing and contract decisions into day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring purchasing transactions are executed in line with the prevailing contract pricing, terms and conditions.
- Greater Visibility & Consolidation – Emptoris enables companies to pull contract information previously dispersed in filing cabinets throughout the enterprise, and provide a single view of all contractual relationships.
- Improved Compliance – With Emptoris, companies can proactively manage procurement and supplier compliance, and ERP systems can be set automatically to comply with actual agreements.
- Lower Total Cost of Ownership and Faster Time to Value – Pre-built integrations shipped with Emptoris 6 cut implementation time and eliminate potential IT hurdles to reduce the total cost of ownership.
“This pre-packaged integration solution based on SAP NetWeaver XI helps assure synchronization of key control and materials master data between the Emptoris sourcing and contract system and ERP procurement execution systems,” said Ammiel Kamon, Senior Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Emptoris. “Contracts are automatically created in Emptoris with valid supplier, pricing and payment terms. Purchasing Outline Agreements are automatically created in SAP procurement solutions directly from qualified contracts without re-keying data. This integration reflects Emptoris’ commitment to continue enhancing the value of our customers’ investments in SAP solutions.”
