European Customers and Partners Gather to Share Leading Practices for Driving Bottom Line Impact

London, UK (May 31, 2006) – Emptoris, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise supply and contract management software, today announced the success of its first annual European User Forum. Emptoris customers and partners discussed how to drive broader impact with their supply management initiatives. Double digit growth for supply and contract management solutions in Europe coupled with a large European customer base drove the event’s success.

The event brought together 65 executives, practitioners and industry thought leaders in the procurement and contract management fields to share best practices and discuss supply management issues and trends. Held on May 18th at the Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel, key topics of discussion included driving adoption broadly and deeply, analyzing and communicating program results and measuring the performance of supply management initiatives.

A diverse set of Emptoris European customers attended, representing the aerospace and defense, agriculture, automotive, chemical, food and beverage, life sciences, petroleum, pharmaceutical, retail, telecommunications hardware and telecommunications services industries. Emptoris partners including Accenture, Cap Gemini, IBM and Inter Sources also participated, sharing experiences on driving supply management initiatives with enterprise clients.

In addition to the welcome address from Emptoris CEO Avner Schneur, sessions were lead by executives and practitioners from GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis, Syngenta and Vodafone. These leaders provided an overview of their business objectives, highlighted how they worked with Emptoris to execute on their supply management programs and discussed lessons learned in the process.
