Double Digit Growth Fueled by New Customers and Continued Global Adoption

Burlington, Mass. – July 21, 2005 – Emptoris, the leading provider of Enterprise Supply Management solutions for Global 5000 companies, today announced the results for its second quarter, ended June 30, 2005. The company achieved record revenue for the second quarter of 2005. Emptoris also exceeded its business plan for the quarter by 22%. Emptoris attributes this strong growth to signing customers across several industry sectors, including aerospace, energy, healthcare, high tech, life sciences, telecommunications, retail and consulting. During the quarter, Emptoris demonstrated strong success selling to both new and existing customers.

Additional key contributors to Emptoris’ momentum in the market include expanded international presence and relationships with strategic partners. The company experienced strong contribution from Europe and the Asia Pacific region, and joint efforts with strategic partners resulted in a large percentage of sales, including the company’s largest outsourcing deal ever signed by a systems integrator.

Presenting at several leading industry conferences, including:
- The Conference Board’s 2005 Electronic Procurement Conference in Chicago, where several Emptoris executives presented topics related to the benefits of strategically managed procurement;
- Industry Week’s Best Plants Conference in Nashville, TN, where Emptoris executive Sherry Gordon co-chaired and customer GlaxoSmithKline presented the keynote address titled, “Procurement Excellence: The Lean Sourcing Revolution”; and
- SG Cowen & Co.’s 33rd Annual Technology Conference in New York City, where Emptoris founder and CEO, Avner Schneur, discussed the main driving forces within the enterprise supply management market and the significant positive impact these initiatives are having on corporate performance;
