Latest Acquisition Adds Advanced Spend Categorization Technology to Enterprise Supply Management Solution, Enabling Customers to Unlock Hidden Savings

BURLINGTON, MA, June 6, 2005 - Emptoris, the leading provider of Enterprise Supply Management solutions for Global 5000 companies, today announced that it has acquired Intigma, a leading provider of spend data management technology. Emptoris customers now have the ability to manage their enterprise spend with full 360-degree visibility into all purchases. Customers will use this insight to fuel cost savings programs that accelerate earnings growth and expand procurement monitoring programs which ensure compliance with mounting regulations. Emptoris, already recognized as a leader in spend analysis and strategic sourcing, further cements its leadership position with this acquisition.

This acquisition expands Emptoris’ spend analysis offering by allowing companies to address a growing need for deeper visibility into direct materials and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) spending, providing for faster, deeper, and wider usage of the solution. Intigma’s technology automatically cleanses, enriches, and classifies unstructured procurement and supplier data locked up inside companies’ ERP systems, transforming this data into a valuable asset. Where critical data is missing, its proprietary technology supplements that data with information from third party sources.
