BOSTON,
Mass., October 7, 2003 - Emptoris, Inc., a leading

2003, its second annual user conference event in Boston, Massachusetts.
The keynote presenter for the conference, Motorola Chief Procurement
Officer Theresa Metty, will address Emptoris’ customer base,
including representatives from American Express, Fleet Financial
Corporation, GlaxoSmithKline, Keyspan, Motorola and Owens Corning.
Users will offer discussions and presentations touting the emergence
and adoption of E-Sourcing software solutions such as the Emptoris
Sourcing Portfolio. Over 150 people representing 40 companies are
expected to attend SourceCon 2003.
The purpose of the conference, to be held at the Le Meridien
Hotel in downtown Boston, is to gather Emptoris customers and
partners together to share their experiences, practical insights
and best practices concerning E-Sourcing. Emptoris plans to showcase
its Sourcing Portfolio while providing presentations that focus
on lowering purchasing costs and identifying the best supplier-base
allocation methods using E-sourcing software.
