EMPTORIS CEO TO BE A FEATURED SPEAKER AT MIT
SOFTWARE SYMPOSIUM
CEO of Leading B2B Software Company to Discuss
Changes in the Software Industry
Burlington,
Mass., (September 14, 2001) - Avner Schneur, president and CEO
of Emptoris, Inc., leading provider of collaborative strategic sourcing
solutions, will be a featured speaker at the 2nd annual MIT Software
Symposium being held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001. Schneur will join
a panel of software company executives to discuss the latest trends
and developments in the software sector, and strategies for success
in today's shifting market.
The
forum, sponsored by MIT's Sloan School of Management, is expected
to attract more than 300 individuals interested in the business
aspects of software development, including venture capitalists,
entrepreneurs, established company executives, and financial and
industry analysts. Schneur will join Greg Erman, CEO of MarketSoft;
Marcus Ruark, co-founder and CEO of Optiant; and Cary Bullock,
chairman of Excelergy. Ted Schadler, group director for Forrester
Research's Business-to-Business Strategy research team will moderate
the discussion.
