Thank you for your continued support, patience and understanding since my last communication regarding the cancellation of our April European customer event (Empower Europe 2010).

We have been busy talking to you, our speakers, press and analysts to establish the feasibility of rescheduling the event later this year and to identify a new venue to host the event. We have polled each and every customer to ensure we can provide a rich and valuable networking event. The feedback we received has led me to take the regrettable decision to not reschedule Empower Europe this year. The availability of our customers, speakers and alternate host venue has not come together in a way that would allow us to reschedule and achieve the critical mass required to deliver the value and networking opportunity that you have come to expect from the event.

A number of you have told me that with the ever closing proximity of Emptoris’ world-wide user event in Boston (Empower 2010, scheduled for September 14-16 at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel) you are likely to attend this event instead. If you wish to attend Boston and have already paid fees for the European event then please contact my colleague, Elisa Saunders (esaunders@emptoris.com / +44 (0)118 988 0121) and we will apply your fee directly to the Boston event, thereby securing a place with no additional cost. We hope you are able to join us in Boston and look forward to meeting you there. If you are not planning to attend Boston or we do not hear from you within the next two weeks, you need do nothing - we will automatically refund your credit card.

For those of you who cannot make the journey to Boston, we want to ensure you don’t miss out - please look out for an announcement detailing exciting new ways the Emptoris team will be bringing Empower content directly to you.

It goes without saying that we are all extremely disappointed to not run this year’s event - the extraordinary circumstances resulting from the volcanic eruption were beyond anything we could have planned for. Empower Europe is an important event for our customers to communicate and learn through each other, and to receive updates from Emptoris. We are already looking at venues for next year and I very much look forward to seeing you there in 2011, if not in Boston later this year.
