Avner Schneur, President and CEO
Avner Schneur founded Emptoris in 1999 and continues to serve as the company’s Chairman, President and CEO. As CEO, Schneur is the leader, visionary and chief spokesperson for Emptoris and its products. Schneur also sets the strategic direction for Emptoris, including the initiation of any financing activities. Under Schneur’s leadership, Emptoris has delivered consistent top line growth, and has established itself as a recognized global leader in the Enterprise Supply and Contract Management software market. Prior to founding Emptoris, Schneur was the senior vice president of operations for Vectis Corporation, a leading software vendor of electronic medical records, where he created and managed a full-scale operations organization and was instrumental in Vectis’ merger efforts. Before Vectis, Schneur served as vice president and chief technology officer for Astea International, a leading developer of customer interaction software, where he helped grow revenues to $45 million and helped lead the company to a successful IPO. Before that, Schneur was director of Software and Information Systems at Elscint, Inc., a manufacturer of high-end medical imaging systems. Schneur Graduated Cum Laude in Industrial Engineering, with a specialty in Information Systems, from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology).

Dean Goodermote, President, CEO & Chairman of
the Board of Directors, Double-Take Software, Inc.

Dean Goodermote joined Double-Take Software in March of 2005 as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board of directors. Since July 2004 he has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Grid-Analytics LLC, a concept-stage company he founded focused on aggregated research. From September 2001 to March 2005, Mr. Goodermote served as a Venture Partner of ABS Capital Partners. From September 2000 to August 2001, Mr. Goodermote was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Clinsoft Corporation, a developer of software for clinical research. From 1997 to August 2001, Mr. Goodermote was Chairman and President of Domain Solutions Corporation, a software developer for enterprise applications and the parent of Clinsoft. From May 2000 until December 2001, Mr. Goodermote founded and was Chief Executive Officer and then the Chairman of IPWorks, Inc., a developer of internet address management software. From August 1996 to May 2000, Mr. Goodermote was Chief Executive Officer and President of Process Software Corporation, a developer of Internetworking software. From August 1986 to February 1997, Mr. Goodermote served in various positions, including eventually President and Chairman, of Project Software and Development Corporation, now known as MRO Software, Inc., a provider of software-based asset and service management solutions.

Rolf Kaelin
Rolf Kaelin has more than 20 years of international experience in investment banking and asset management. In 1998, he founded Kaelin Management AG, which went on to raise c. CHF 220m for NETinvest Holding AG and took it to the SWX. From 1995 to 1998 Kaelin worked for Liechtenstein Global Trust as Head of Corporate Development. During this time, Kaelin was instrumental in the founding of two investment companies in Switzerland which raised approx. CHF 1bn in capital, and initiated their going public on the Swiss stock exchange SWX. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Kaelin Management AG, NETinvest Holding AG and NETadvisers AG. Kaelin completed his undergraduate studies at the commercial college of St. Gallen and his executive studies at Hendon College, England, and Wharton Business School, Philadelphia.

Thomas L. Magnanti, Professor and Dean of Engineering,
Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Dr. Magnanti is the Dean of the School of Engineering and one of twelve Institute Professors at MIT, where he has been a faculty member since 1971. In his tenure, he co-founded and served as co-director for the Leaders for Manufacturing Program and the System Design and Management Program, headed the Management Sciences Area of the Sloan School of Management and co-directed MIT’s interdepartmental Operations Research Center. Dr. Magnanti is a past president of the Operations Research Society of America (ORSA) and is the former president of the Institute of Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). He holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University, master’s degrees in Statistics and Mathematics from Stanford University, and a doctorate in Operations Research, also from Stanford University.

Mark Siegel, Managing Director, Menlo Ventures
Mark Siegel joined Menlo Ventures in 1996. Previously, he held product management and consulting management positions at Oracle Corporation and worked in business development at Netscape Communications Corporation. At Menlo, Mark focuses primarily on early-stage Internet and software businesses. His recent investments and board seats include: Authoria, Covalent Technologies, diCarta, Phiar, Questra, Rendition Networks, Sitara Networks and Tera Systems.Mark is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (B.S. in Physics and Electrical Engineering) and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.).
