Will be reporting to head of engineering India operations with dotted line reporting to Director of Quality in US. Position requires person to be hands on. S/he will not be writing test cases or automation but should be in position to review and suggest improvements.
Experience Needed:
12+ years in software testing out which some experience has to be with product testing
Job Summary:
- Good understanding of Web based applications architecture & testing
- Good understanding of automation. Should have handled/worked on 2+ automation projects. Experience with WinRunner is a plus but not a requirement
- Good communication skills
- Should have previously managed Leads/Associate QA Managers (2+)
- S/he will be managing 40+ people Team. S/he will have direct responsibility of managing spend and sourcing product.
- Must have good understanding of software metrics and should have implemented it in the projects
- Should be able to contribute ideas for improving test coverage, quality and team productivity

Sr. QA Engineer Automation and Manual (6 positions in all)
Experience in Automated testing using WinRunner, the person must be familiar with SQL.

Job Summary:
Will be a member of the QA team and responsible for:
- Understanding the functional / technical / performance requirements
- Creating automated/manual Test plans, test cases
- Testing using Winrunner.
- Automating, maintaining & executing test scripts and coordinating with the Automation architect for the same.
- Reporting PRs
- Reporting daily progress to the respective QA Lead
- Escalating unresolved issues to the QA Lead / QA Manager.

Technical Architect:
An experienced Software Architect who can provide senior technical leadership to our product development (software engineering) team. This position requires problem solving skills, deep technical knowledge, solid communication skills, and the ability to be both an individual contributor and a mentor/coach.
Experience Needed:
10-12 years
Responsibilities:
- Lead high-level designs: identifying reuse, frameworks, interfaces and third party components.
- Identify (and help mitigate) performance and security exposures.
- Map logical architectures to resources necessary to implement them in physical architecture.
- Review detailed design of components/modules.
- Help establish technology standards and ensure cross-product technology and design compliance
- Provide Coaching / Mentoring to developers on architecture, frameworks and development practices.
- Participate in training the develop team.
- Identify and/or evaluate any development tools that will make our processes and developers more efficient
- Identify and/or evaluate technologies which would enhance our product
- Prototype technically challenging solutions, and ensure an effective hand-off to development.
- Work with QA to identify technologies to make the QA process more effective / efficient.
- Work with Product Management on assessing technical feasibility/approach and provide input on product specifications.
Required Skills:
- Ability to find patterns and structure in disparate software designs
- Ability to explain complex architectures to developers

Technical Lead
Providing hands-on technical leadership, creating application designs and supervising their implementation & deployment.
Experience Needed:
Candidates should have minimum 6 years of IT experience including experience in Object-Oriented technologies and in implementing Web-based applications.

- Should be hands on in EJB,JSP, Servlets, Struts and application servers.
Responsibilities:
- Work with TL to come up with detailed estimates
- Assist TL with detailed design
- Translate detailed design to code as per coding guidelines
- Perform functional code reviews
- Perform integration and unit tests
- Resolve technical issues, if required do necessary R&D
- Report work status to TL

Technical Writer
Create Technical documentation for users and for internal purposes.
Experience Needed:
4-6 years.
Job Description:
- Create Technical documentation for users and for internal purposes.
- Create User and training manuals, installation guides, online help systems and end-user reference manuals.
- Write product catalogues and manuals.
- Work with the development team to produce customized templates.
- Generate the structure and flow of the documentation keeping target audience in perspective.
- Collate technical and functional information about product by liaising with functional teams.
- Create and maintain an efficient versioning system.
Required Skills:
Very good experience with: Adobe FrameMaker and Robo Help.

Release/ Build Engineer
This person will be working closely build and Install teams, provide build/install support.
Experience Needed:
3-6 years
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in software testing or development.
- 1 plus years of experience with Ant. (build tool)
- 1 plus years of experience with Web Application development using J2EE technologies
- At least 1 year of experience with version control system, experience with Accurev a plus.
- At least 1 year of experience with installer, experience with InstallAnywhere a plus.
- Experience building medium to large Java applications, including J2EE environments and application servers.
- Experience with automated regression testing methods and tools.
- Experience with one or more scripting languages (Shell, Perl, etc.)
- Experience with Java, XML/XSLT a plus
- Must be proficient in both Unix/Linux and Windows.
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to handle priorities
- Ability to work with teams in multiple locations across time zones

- Responsible for the management of the source code, test cases and related build artifacts that comprise the company's products.
- Develop/maintain build scripts and define build system components. Document the build system and process.
- Develop/maintain installation scripts using InstallAnywhere
- Develop tools to automate process and policy
- Ensure that the products are building successfully every day, and that the automated test suites are running after every successful build. When problems arise, this person is responsible for getting the builds and tests running again, and for taking the lead on determining the source of the problem and working with developers and testers as needed to remedy.
