Prashant Deshpande

As Senior Vice President and General Manager of Emptoris Technologies India, Prashant Deshpande is responsible for managing the company's world-class delivery organization. Bringing 30 years of experience in building and managing large global IT organizations, Deshpande previously spearheaded the transformation of India-based operations for large U.S. companies into world-class delivery organizations.

Prior to Emptoris, Deshpande served as the head of global services delivery for BMC Software, where he built and managed the company's offshore professional services organization. Deshpande has also worked as Head of Information Systems & Technology at Veritas/Symantec Software; General Manager of Enterprise Systems Management for Patni Computers; and Vice President of Citicorp, Capital Markets Technology, New York.

Deshpande holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Bombay and a Master's in chemical engineering from Columbia University.
